Hi, my name is Kemmy and I am a bag designer and pattern drafter. I have been passionate about designing bags for as long as I can remember. When I was younger, I used to love rummaging through my mother’s closet to find her old bags and would try to recreate them from scratch.
As I grew older, my love for bag designs and pattern drafting only grew stronger. I am always pushing myself to come up with new designs and techniques. It is my goal to never run out of ideas, it is something that I enjoy doing every day.
One of the biggest challenges I face as a bag designer is shopping for new designs. I am always on the lookout for unique fabrics, hardware, and accessories to incorporate into my designs. It can be challenging to find good quality materials that are both cost-effective and unique.
Another challenge is cutting the first pattern. I have to be very precise and make sure that the measurements are accurate. One small mistake can throw off the entire design process. However, I enjoy the challenge because it helps me to grow as a designer and pattern drafter.
Despite the challenges I face, I truly enjoy making my designs. Every step of the process, from choosing the fabrics to sewing the final stitch, is satisfying. It’s something I look forward to every day and I feel grateful that I get to do what I love.
